Formula Racing at Homestead-Miami Speedway

Reinaldo "Tico" Almeida had a big vision 11 years ago.  Tico and his wife wanted to bring the very best family experience to fans of formula racing.  South Florida has always had a NASCAR following and fans were chomping at the bit for more.  Enter FARA USA.  In 11 short years, Tico has grown a small racing vision into the Florida Road Racing Championship.  7 races spread across the Homestead-Miami Speedway, Daytona International Speedway and Sebring International Raceway.  FARA races have become so popular that the December race creates headaches (the good kind) as the City of Homestead prepares for NASCAR like traffic lines for fans wanting to watch the race.  The popular Miami 500 race has now evolved into the Miami 12 Hours - the first ever 12 hour racing event at the Homestead-Miami Speedway courtesy of the folks at FARA USA.

I can distinctly remember that first phone call I got from their marketing assistant.  She wanted to know if our company had the ability to live stream a race for them.  This was in 2014 and I can remember her telling us that they were going to hire a company from South America who was going to charge "a God-awful a lot of money" to fly in and produce the event.  We convinced them that our company (which had never done a formula racing event) could produce a broadcast they would bring value for their investment dollars and truly impress their dedicated fans.  Tico and his staff said they would take a chance with us.  It was a dream he always wanted to achieve and they were in a position to do it.

Our crew laid down more than 2.5 miles of tactical fiber, had 7 camera operators, braved the elements of wind and rain and produced the first ever FARA Sunset 300 live broadcast - a 2 day live streaming event.  Play by Play Commentator "Gorilla," told us how Tico reacted when he saw the broadcast, "Tico was grinning from ear to ear."  He had gotten his dream and we were proud to be the company that helped him achieve that vision.

A few years would pass and in 2017 - Chief Operating Officer Carlos Mendez reached out to us and said the fans were asking for live streaming again and a return to the Sunset race was the ideal opportunity. With a bigger crew and hindsight under our belt, we put together a 11 hour all day broadcast of the FARA Sunset 500.  With a much bigger online audience, we were able to successfully put on another show for FARA racing fans all over the globe.

The Miami 12 Hours is on our radar in December and with the right amount of sponsors and corporate participation - our goal is to convince the team at FARA that they should provide a live web streaming broadcast for the entire racing season - introducing the world to the amazing things being done by FARA USA.  FARA USA world wide presence in the racing circuit keeps growing year after year.  FARA TV is their next logical step and we are proud to help them achieve that goal.

If you are in South Florida, we invite you to make the trip down to Homestead and check out a FARA race.  Your entire family will be in for a treat!!
